Satmex 5 Lnb Q

Hi to all, my first time posting. I need some help setting up my dish and receiver. I am trying to pick up a few catholic channels on satmex 5 KU for my mom. I have a coolsat 4000, a 33" dish and a universal linear KU lnb. I get channels from sat 118.8w and sat 113.0w but i cant seem to find sat 116.8w. Can someone please let me know exactly what I need to do to pick up these very few channels. I have been trying for 4 days with no luck. In san diego ca. any help would be awsome. Is there any relation to the LNB and the symbol rate of that TP. thanks

the lnb lo setting should be universal 9750/10600.
then set the TP freq to 12024 horizontal and the SR to 3000 for one of the channels.
set the TP freq. to 12028 horiz. and theSR to 3255 for the other channel.

lnb question

thanks for helping me out rainman. I will try this tomorrow. one more question though, is it easier to receive this sat (116.8w) using a universal LNB or a standard LNB? thanks

Excuse me rainman, you know more about universal and ku on smaller dishes than I do,but isn't it supposed to be lo 9750/10600? Is it a typo or am I wrong again as usual?

On another note while working on a system this weekend that has a standard lnbf (QPH-031) those tp's for Ku on SatMex5 had to be manually put in. The blind scan did not find them. Once I put the tp info in the signal was there and they scanned in channels with no problem. This was with a Fortec Platinum NA receiver. Being in S. CA you should get both of the Mexican sats with no problem. Not sure if Solidarid (I think I got that right) is still in use. When it was it was viewable in a limited area of the US and S CA was one of the areas. It is a C Band sat though.
