Q's about switches and errors.

Okay I have the Sadoun SSM24 switch and it is connected to 2x 90cm one pointing to 103W and the other to 101W. 2x Fortec Universal single LNB's

SADOUN S-SM24 DirecTV FTA 2x4 Multi switch

Problem = when both is connected to this switch I loose vietnam tv on AMC4(ku) and several other channels on both Sat's.

I then bought some F59T terminators to close open connections = same problem.

Then I used a 4 in 1 diseqC 2.0 switch and the same problem but weaker signal, maybe the sat connected to the port is not getting power , analog sat finder has power 1' from LNB on same cable.
(Xrica GS-4101A came with the receiver) Same as
http://sadoun.com/Sat/Products/S/BZT-4way-1.jpg

Q1?
Is the loosing Vietnam tv normal.
Q2?
What is a better solution for combining 2 LNB feeds to 1-4 receiver.
Q3?
By connecting 1 lnb to 14v and the other to 18V on the SSM24 does one lnb only do the Horizontal and the other vertical ?? Are they limited in some way or not ?

Still unclear about this 14v and 18V = good = bad = ugly ?
I get the H and V or L and R part somewhat.

Thanks

Lightbulb Answers ?? S-SM24/SSM24 and LNB's

3RD time looking for answers about same problem.

Seeing that I speak greek or something and no ones knows about switches , here goes.

Maybe if I suck my thumb or let the cat rub against a lamp I will get the answer. LOL or free glowing light bulb LOL. (static elec.)

Obviously the SSM24 is for ? some or the other LNB with 2 connectors that can independantly be horizontal / vertical at the same time ? maybe two antenna equivalent in 1 LNB unlike the 2 Fortec universal single I have = either/or, H or V ? Who knows.

Briliant idea if true as the LNB can likely change faster than mine or something and by using 2 or more Sat Receivers you don't have to wait so long to switch channels ?
Surely with 2+ receivers both H and V might as well be active all the time ?

Wow if I had an answer before I waisted my money I could have purchased the correct switch possibly the "S-DS41C 4-Way" if even this is the correct one who knows ? Or different LNB's ?

If this S-DS41C is the correct one then surely there must be a way to change the 1 receiver out port to 4 receivers using another switch / splitter.
Why not just a all in one splitter / switch box ?

But then would this 1 cable in-between the splitter and switch allow the transfer of info to the HH motor or not , and would 2 HH motor's work on such a config ?

Heck I should have likely bought 2 of this dual LNB's for my config in stead of the 2 Fortec universal single I have now ?

So much fun.

Sorry to anyone who I gave advice about switches as obviously it is wrong.

O well I have to change the cables everytime I want another channel on the 2nd dish.

The 2x4 multiswtich is only used for connecting 1x Dual Ouput LNBF (1 satellite dish with dual output LNBF) to up to 4x receivers.

on the 2x4 switch, one input is used for the vertical transponders and the other for the Horizontal transponders from the same lnbf.

To connect 2x satellite dishes to up to 4 receivers you will need a 4x4, 4x8, 5x4, or 5x8 multiswitch.

Also, you will need dual output STANDARD lnbfs on each of the satellite dishes.

Ouch

Thank's.

Darn so I have to replace the 2 lnb's and get another switch 4x4 = $128

Current config:
I have a FTA receiver and Twinhan sat express maybe I can just get 1 dual universal lnb and remove the 2nd dish +2 single lnb's I have now for later.

Anyone needs 2 Fortec Single Universal new/used lnb's +2x4 switch

Thank you for the answer.

Darn I am Korn Suryp/Splenda stupid.

I might as well have 1 setup dedicated 90cm + Fortec universal single per receiver and do not have to spend anything extra.

IE:
Have 1 + Spacestar 700s on say IA5 / galaxy 25 for a general type for the house and the 2nd + fortec univ. single +twinhan + hh motor for scanning / browsing sat's.

Love the dutch channels / unmodified news / other interesting channels it is so liberating.
111 fta video and about the same for audio on ia5 so far just need to fine tune it a bit more

Later I can get the correct part's for multi receiver / dual dish config.

Thank Sadoun for the help.
