2x4 Multiswitch explained

Sadoun S-SM24 2x4 Multi-switch

This multiswicth allows you to connect 1 satellite dish (with a dual output LNBF) to up to 4 satellite receivers.
  • Use this multi-switch for a DIRECTV or FTA dish w/DUAL LNB
  • NOT for the DIRECTV multi-satellite dish.
  • Non-powered - powered by satellite receiver, does NOT use external power supply.
  • Up to FOUR satellite receivers* can independently select different satellite channels.
  • Up to FOUR (4) receiver* connections from ONE (1) Standard DIRECTV or FTA dish (DUAL LNB required).
  • TiVo units require TWO connections to dish & would count a TWO receivers.
  • To minimize off-air analog signal ghosting or off-air digital signal degradation, the 75 ohm terminators should be used on all unused outputs. Any unused cable connected to the output should also be thus terminated at the connector plate. Save unused terminators for future applications.
  • This switch is not for use with Dish 500 or DirecTV Plus dishes with two dual LNB's
We also carry the SSM34 which is a 3x4 multiswitch. It has 1 input for off air or CATV signal. If you have an outdoor antenna and want to combine the signal with the satellite signal, then you will need to use this switch. At the output side and close to the receiver, you will need to use a diplexer to split the antenna (OTA) signal from the satellite signal.
