Is My Invacom Bad?

Santa brought me a Quad Invacom (QPH-031) and I just got around to installing it yesterday. It works great, but I noticed that the seam between the right and left halves of the case is not sealed/glued. You could probably stick a butter knife into the crack between the two halves. Is this typical and just a cosmetic thing, or is my Invacom going to die the first time it rains?

personally, I wouldn't worry about it.

You could fill the crack with coax seal to make it waterproof.

I'm sure you've put up antennas (based on the callsign), and know tape is not waterproof.

Do't worry about the seam or the case for tat matter. It is only cosmetic and does not affect the performance of the LNBF

Thanks Sadoun. That gives me peace of mind. There is some extended rain headed my way for New Years.
