Perhaps you do not have live tp's entered into the receiver. Have you checked the entered tp's against the listing at LyngSat - Lyngemark Satellite

getting only 1 tp on amc3

My coolsat5000,vs extreme, pansat 3500 already have the frequency in them. But I go thru them to find out which have most signal.Plus I am using 2 receivers at the same time.My coolsat 5000 and vs extreme tell me where I am at(what sat).In the top right hand corner(the name of the sat is there/but sometime its not there.I used my pansat to move the motor.I printed a copy of skyvision fta mpeg2 chart and Mike kohl has a fta chart to.Dishnut used to send lyngsat chart with his email.Thank for replying. My dish elevation is 25.I set the stab 120 hh to 42 lat.I set the pansat 3500 to my lat 41.6 and longt 87.6. I have an invacom L=10750 C=11250/lnb.

Ok let's slow down. tp lists change pretty regularly. If you have not compared your entries to what is current on lyngsat you may be looking for signal on an entire group of dead tp's. Translation you will never get signal. Next on the list has this ever been an operational system or is this a new install. Do you know how to make tp entries into your receiver?

Next on the list to my knowledge receivers have no idea what sat they are looking at. What it says on the screen only means it is pointed at a preprogrammed location named "foo" BUT that does not mean you are really pointed at "foo". Your dish has to be properly set up along with the receiver. Is your dish mover receiver USALS capable?

I think you should only use one receiver at a time until you get it working.
What transponder is it that you are actually getting on AMC3? And what transponders are you trying to get that you can't get? There have been several changes over the last few months on AMC3, so as Steve said, it is very possible that you are looking for transponders that just aren't transmitting.
I'm confused about the receiver telling you what sat you are on... I didn't know any of these receivers could do that. If they CAN do that, they probably need an up to date transponder list, but I'm still curious about this comment.
But it sounds like you are pretty close on the angles (assuming you're using a latitude scale and not an elevation scale), although I would have thought that your dish elevation would be a little lower, like 24, but you're pretty close. And you're using the right LO freqs. But you haven't explained how you have the system wired. Ie are you using diseqC switches to bring both L/C signals down one coax? If so where is the switch, and are you sure you have it set up right in the receiver?
Are you trying to peak the signal on AMC3 with the receiver and TV out at the dish? It's hard to peak one of these things if you don't have a way of seeing signal level while you are moving the dish.
