are you sure you haven't got that backwards signal level at 79% and quality at 0. if this is right you alignment is off.

No Signal Level

Yes, I'm sure because the menu screen is on front of me.
Signal Level 01-04%
Signal Quality 69-79%.

That's a new one on me. I've never seen that happen, and it doesn't sound possible. You really shouldn't have quality unless you have signal. Something is strange there.

???

no signal

I change the transportor and I got both signal level and signal quality hight, these is only for two horizontal TP. Now, is the problem allignment problem or receiver sitting problem. What can I do??

Not likely, but maybe your signal is SOOO good that it's more than 100%, and is only reading the last 2 digits. (Only half serious on that, but I've seen it happen on other instruments.)
Have you tried more than one transponder??? What sat/transponder is this happening on??? Does the receiver have the original firmware? Like Rainman said, will be interesting to hear if it scans in channels. If it has that much quality, it should lock and scan channels fine. If no, something wrong with receiver or firmware. Only other thing I can think of, is that sometimes I see very weird meter readings when I just lock a transponder for a second and the dish moves or something, and I lose signal, but when that happens, if I change transponders and back again, the high reading will be gone. I would go to the TP scan option, and go from transponder to transponder and see what the signal/quality says.

The satellite is IA5 Ku 97.0 W. I scanned all TP. 11917/H/5867 is the only one that has 81% Signal level and 75% Quality. For the other TP, I got 40-45% Quality and 0-4% Level.

I kind of like the idea of your signal over 100% being displayed as 01 or 04 . Do you happen to have an inline amplifier on the coax ? or a particularly short coax run to the lnb ?

After a hole day of frustration with my living room TV, I used a 12" TV hooked 3 to 4 feet away from the dish for the allignment. Same problem accured.

Have you tried the scanning in channels idea? Does the receiver indicate that you have a "lock"?

I'm using LNB(9750,10600). I don't understand what you mean by LO setting.

I was wondering whether you had a universal lnb, or a standard linear lnb. Add to that I was wondering if you were running a standard lnb at the wrong frequency. ( 9750 and 10600, by the way , are LO freq settings ) .
I have seen strange results from a standard lnb when run on the wrong LO frequency.
Your settings are for a typical Univeral lnb. If that is what you have, then your lnb settings are correct.

I have a stationary Fortec 31" Offset FS80P Dish and a Fortec universal FSKUv 0.4dB Single KU LNBF. The LO setting is right.
