Simple Question

I have a very simple question to ask. I have a FTA dish with 2 receivers. The LNB is dual.

I want to have the signal to a third room.
Can I split one coax cable (with splitter) and send the 2 cables to the 2 receivers. I am trying to avoid sending coax cable from the dish to the third room. In other words, I have coax going from one LNB to room 1, getting splitted to receiver one and the second 1/2 of the line going to receiver 2 in room 2.

Any damage to the receivers? My hunch is that signal degradation will occur.
Thank you for your time.

you would have to use a dc block splitter on 1 port also the main receiver would have to control the polarity of the lnb so what ever polarity the master receiver is on would be the polarity you would see on the slave receiver.

You don't need a splitter, you can use the loop though output on receiver 2 to connect receiver 3. BUt, like rainman said, polarity is controlled by the master receiver.

or you could use a 3x4 multiswitch. Hook both lines into the multiswitch and then hook the 3 recievers to that.

Then each reciever can see both polarities
