Toroidal's 4 Reciever x 8 LNBs Connection question.

I bought a Toroidal T90 (arriving Monday) and trying to get VTV4 and VPTV along with Dish network DBS subscription, FTA channels including international. The total number of LNB is 5. Connection I want to do is 4 Receiver x 8 Dishes (In my case it would be 4 Reciever x 5 Dishes) based on Sadoun's Multi-LNBF. I notice that on Lyngsat website, it shows that Intelsat Americas 5 (97W) and AMC 4 (101W) have one exact frequence 3860 H tp8. I am not quite sure if my understanding of the setting 4 x 8 connection are correct or not. With 4x8 connection all 8 LNBs are combine into one signal this implies that in each of the reciever, the diseqc port setting should be set to "none" and the 22k should be set to on not off. This also implies that 97w and 101w frequency are combine as well. Let say 97w have a frequency of 3860 and tp 8 which carry 2 channels, 101w have the same frequency of 3860 and tp 8 which carries 8 channel so when I do a blind scan on either 97w or 101w on frequency 3860 I should recieve a total of 10 channels since frequency are combine.

I guess my real question is, is the blind scan only based on frequency regardless of how many satellite (lnb) are combine into a 4x8 connection switch? thanks

Blind scan will not depend, how many LNBf's you connect.
But make sure LNBf type should match receiver settings: If LNBf is universal, but setting for it in receiver is "standart" then blind scan will show wrong frequency.
3860 H is C - band frequency, and toroidal will not help you getting it

thanks boroda1,
I have another question. How do I determine if a lnbf is a standard or universal? some LNBF didn't say if its universal or standard, it just give me generic information like lnbf type and such i.e ku band, frequency range and output, etc... thanks

For the Dish sub, you can't put that in the switch mix with the switch you want to use. Dish uses its own switches so the 4x8 won't work.

I had a T90 with 110 & 119 for my Dish sub on it and those had their own cable with a SW21 switch to my receiver. The FTA channels were separate
