? Daisy chained diseqc switches??

I now only have 1 "working" DiseqC switch, so I can't test this, but I currently have a 2 port diseqc swithc feeding my ULTRA, but I have my Twinhan running off the passthru of my Ultra, and I'd like to place a second Diseqc switch between the Ultra and the Twinhan, to be controlled by the Twinhan, because currently I have to manually switch coaxes every time I switch in another dish.

What I wasn't sure of, is if I should expect any interference or interaction between the disecq commands from the 2 receivers, Ie would the Diseqc commands from the Twinhan switch go through it, and through the passthru and get to the Ultra's diseqC switch ( I don't think this will happen, because I've tried sending diseqC commands from the Twinhan and it didn't seem to switch the Ultra's switch), or if commands from the Ultra might somehow go back through the passthru, and activate the switch between it and the Twinhan???

Anyway, I THINK this should work, but was wondering if anyone has tried and had any problems with this?

NEVER MIND...... It WORKS..

Never mind. I just decided to try to plug in my BROKEN 4 port DiseqC switch, which hasn't worked for about a year, and I have tried it 2 or 3 times with my ULTRA during that year, so I was SURE that it was toast. But I just thought I'd try again using the Twinhan, and sure enough, it WORKED.
And there seems to be no interferrence or interaction between the two receivers, ie I can switch one switch with the Ultra without it affecting the Twinhan's switch, and I can switch the other switch with the Twinhan without affecting the Ultra's switch.

Sorry for wasting bandwidth, but I didn't think I could test this.

Anyway, neat, now I have one less reason for having to get out of my recliner. Now, I think I'm going to try the port 3 and 4 on this thing. This 4 port switch initially worked only on ports 1,2 and 4, not 3, then it lost port 4, then it lost it's ability to switch between 1 and 2. Just curious whether it completely came back to life or only partially.

Now it doesn't... Now it does... Weird...

Well I guess my Broken 4 port DiseqC isn't completely OK. I left the thing switched to port 2 for about 10 minutes, and noticed that it wasn't getting a signal anymore??? Tried to activate the switch back and forth, but no go.

Then I closed down the program I had which was controlling the Twinhan, let it sit about 15 or 20 seconds (I think this removes power from the switch).
Then, I turned the program back on, and the switch immediatelly switched to port 2 again, and it was working.

Then after about 2 minutes, it stopped working again, and port 2 went out. Then, without, turning the program off, I switched LNB parameter, and then back again to what I had, tuned, and port 2 came back on..... Then after about a minute or two, port 2 went off again.

Then tried to turn program off and on, but switch wouldn't work. But kept trying, and eventually it switched on. This time I watched it for 5 minutes, and it's still going as I type.

So I'm a bit confused re whether this weirdness is being caused by the fact that my diseqC is, in fact not working properly, or if I'm getting some strange interaction. But I'm guessing that the switch is the problem.

But as I type, it is still working..... I think.
