Problems with T55

1- Your location: Northern U.S.
2- Receiver make and model: Dish Network Dp301
3- Dish size: T55
4- LNBF type: M20R
5- Motor if any: no motor
6- Now to your question:

Hi,

I am having a problem with my current setup. I have always had an interest in
free to air and now am making an attempt to get things going. I replaced my
dish network dish with a T55 (my wife is not a fan of multiple dishes hanging
off the house..). The dish is quite amazing. I received the 3 dual reverse
polarity LNBs that are provided in the package deal from Sadoun. I checked the
signal strength of 110 and 119 separately using my dish receiver and managed to
pull in 88% and 95% signal strengths respectively. I am having trouble getting
them to work with my SW21 switch. It worked well with my dish network dish. It
receives my subscribed channels but with some complaining. Every now and then
it complains of a switch problem. I have regularly performed the check switch
function and it passes only half the time.

I borrowed a SW41 switch from my neighbour to see if I had somehow damaged my
switch but that is not working either.

Do I need a different type of switch with this type of LNB? I have searched the
forums here and haven't found this topic touched upon yet.

I would like to make sure this setup works for me before I get Free to airing...

Thanks in advance for the help!

nope. Thw SW21 should work fine.

I hav a T90 (the larger one) and have 2 of the reverse polarity singles to a SW21 with no issues

I would run a check switch with no cable hooked up to clear out everything. Then rehook and rerun check switch

Question Need help with T55 setup

Hi...
Please accept my apology for this question, I'm new at this, but I don't know where to go from here. I have a T55 dish and trying to set it up. I checked the postings and did a setup search to find where to find the sat's. It says to first put a lnbf at the zero position then find this:

Imaginary central satellite:

100.5° W

192.39°
-51.79°
0.0

Now I'm really lost. How do I find this? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
