kokoko123 is on a distinguished road
need some help plz

I need help plz:

Hi.
My system info: pansat 2500a , stationary dish 90 cm,
Intelsat America 5 Satellite to receive fta channels :
from Montreal
elvation 32.8 , Azimuth 211.3 +15° 16' West =226.46
LNB pol (skew) 21.3

When tried to align the dish, on the receiver I ve got 90 % for LEVEL

But for 4 hours I ve got nothing (0 for quality and strength) (I followed the tips and instruction from www.sadoun.com)

My question is:

1-What is "LEVEL" stand for ?
2-what is "unlock" (showing beside quality) stand for ?
2- why I always got 0 for quality and strength (after slow movement of the dish and waiting 10 sec every small movement) , suggestions are welcome

thanks for your help

Your numbers look OK.

I dont know too much about a Pansat model, but I suspect "Level" is associated with SIGNAL LEVEL.

You will see the signal level rise as you get closer to the satellite.
Once you get some communications that the receiver can understand, it will begin to get some "quality" indication.
After you get enough quality, the signal will "Lock" and get a usable picture on the display.

What kind of LNBF do you have? (makes a difference Standard vs Universal model - different settings)

In settings, try to turn LNB power ON.

- make sure you are on an active transponder when you are aligning the dish. 12084 V with symbol rate of 22000 is a strong one to use for IA5.

- make sure your RG-6 cable is plugged into LNB IN or IF IN on back of receiver (not ANT IN)

You might want to adjust the dish thru 32 to as much as 40 degrees elevation.
