Installation help in Houston, Texas

I am having some installation problems. I have a Fortec 36” dish, a SG2100 motor, and a Mercury II receiver purchased from Sadoun. The pole is completely plumb. The motor works fine and rotates normally. I am using a universal LNBF.

I live in Houston (77059). Motor elevation = 29.6 deg. Dish elevation = 25 deg.

The assembly is pointed south, according to the compass.

I am receiving no channels. Signal level and quality are between 0-4%. Please give some advice. Thanks.

Maneesh

First make sure that the Dish is pointing to the true south (best you can). Then Point the dish to a know satellite TP for example: AMC3 TP 12145H and Symbol Rate 4340. If the Signal is still 0- 4% move the Dish up down slowly until you get a good signal. I had to move Dish about +7%.

Your "true south sat" is Galaxy3. Try to aim to this sat first, using USALS. You will also need to enter your location in receiver settings' appropriate place.
Select tp 11780 H 20760.
If you get any signal, do a blind scan: it will show you were you indeed are
