sg2100 & Wingaurd 76CM dish

Anyone have the issue of the sg2100 mounting clamps not sitting right on the wingaurd mounting pole?

Here my problem I got a missaligned dish because the mounting pole that came with the wingaurd (this is the one that screws into the wall/roof) has a taper just above the elbow bend. That taper is where the bottom clamp of the sg2100 falls.

I mounted the moter as high as i could on the wingaurd mast but the bottom clamp is still hitting the taper in the tube. ARGH!!

Any suggestions? I know some of you have the same set-up out there....

I should have got a Fortec 90cm from Sadoun.

I had no problems at all mounting my 76cm Winegard to a SG2100 and again to the mast that came with the dish. My mast was straight not tapered. Perhaps you could send pics

I have the same thing. What I think he means is, where the put the bend in the pipe, the diamator is smaller on the inside of the curve. This is cause by the pipe bender. The straight section above the bend is not long enough. The lower clamp ends up clamping in line with the reduced section. This pulls the bottom of the rotor bracket in. With the upper clamp so close to the end of the pipe, it crushes the pipe. What I ended up doing was making a new pipe. A section of fence post is slightlt heavyer then the suppled pipe. I made 2 11 degree cuts at oppiset angles a few inches apart. rototed the cut offs 180 degrees and welded back on to get a 45 degree bend in 2 steps. Only I end up with a good foot of straight pipe above the bend and the pipe is harder/stronger. So no crushing problems.
