diseqc switch

I have a fortec 36 inch dish, a fortec star platinum receiver, a stab 100 mover. I installed a invacom dual lmbf and tryed to install a diseqc switch. When I put the switch in line the dish won't move and no picture.I have the switch hooked up to lmbf side of the motor. But it don't work. Can somebody tell me why it don't work.I thought I read some place with the a stab motor you could not run a switch. thanks

Put the switch between motor and LNB, not between motor and receiver

Did you set up your receiver for the switch?
Need to enter a port number you are using for particular LNB, i.e. ABCD or 1,2,3,4. I have my switch with port 1 for linear LNB and port 4 for circular.
So I set in receiver menu DISEqC to "On" and "Commited" to 1 or 4 depending on usage
