Motor Elevation Hardware

I have set up a Digipower SG2100 motor drive on a plumb pipe. To set the motor elevation, there were 2 "indicating washers" included (one for each side of the bracket). These washers have little points on them for setting the elevation. Also these washers have a bent tab that rides in the elevation slot to keep it orientated properly.

The question is, these washers will go on two different ways. The picture in the manual appears (the drawing is not the greatest) to show the bent tab at the bottom. However there is the word "DOWN" stamped at one end of the washer. I put that end toward the ground, which will put the tab at the top.

Am I OK or do I need to reverse these washers?

Thanks
Ken

I would set the points on the washers to the scale on the bracket will be easier to read while adjusting.

Just to experiment, I have reversed these pointers and it appears to make about a 3-5 degree difference in elevation. The washers have pointer on both sides, so it is easy to read either way they are installed.

I am awaiting a serial cable to update the FLU software. I will then try again to align the dish with the arc.

Have a good day
Ken
