G10- Strongest Transponder?

What experience has anyone had on transponders on G10? If you were setting up a dish for the first time and needed to have a reliable signal, what would shoot for? I heard that G10 can be difficult to "snag" sometimes.
Also, when one is setting up a dish, do you shoot for the strongest transponder, or the weakest one?

shoot for the strongest, then fine tune via the weakest

TP's from strongest to weakest

11805 H 4580 (Research Net)
12114 V 4444 (Equity UPN)
12035 V 19125 (Pentagon Net)
12104 V 2222 (ABC)
11799 V 26660 (Equity mux main TP)
11720 V 27692 (Equity 2nd TP..low due to interference)

I would shoot for Research Net or Equity UPN. Those 2 bury the meter on my Pansat 1500

Equity main should be between 60-75 and the 2nd one is tough due to the interference from Dish 121 (they have a TP at 11724 V)

Iceberg, I want lots of goodies too. What is the minimum size dish that can receive C-band?

you can get signal for c band with a 4 ft dish just won't get all of the c band channels personaly i would recommend a 8 ft or larger dish.

Thx, rainman. Guess I need to move back out to the country so I can install a bigger dish. The neighbors would love it if I started installing a big 8-10 footer right now!!!!

Find a TV station that is going out of business, get their 12' C band dish. That should KA.
