Ive got a large offset dish at a yardsale & want to try my hand at mounting multipule lnbs ito replace the big prime focus motorized dish im using now. Im looking for a tutorial or a good site on how to homebrew a mount and how to point it. A few questions on initial setup i have is:
Should you aim the dish in the middle of the sats to be picked up?
Should you set the altitude in the middle also?
Should you aim the dish in the middle of the sats to be picked up?
This depends what kind of LNB bracket you have, if it's "Y" type, then should point in the middle. But most I've seen, have a central point and the right or left "branch". For those, you need to aim the hole dish at the "central" satellite, then adjust the side LNB distance to get another one
