If it's the Fortec Lifetime, or Lifetime Ultra, you can enter your own sat data, and with the Ultra, it is highly recommended that you use the Gtools channel editor, and clear out all the un-used sats and transponders to make more memory room available. I'm guessing you have a plain Lifetime, because I think the Ultra has 60 sats.
However with respect to your attempt, I think you need to leave out the decimal point, ie enter 11780 .
Also, before I started using the Gtools program, with the plain Lifetime, I was quickly over the limit of sats, and had to re-name existing sats that weren't within my range, because I think it only had room for about 2 or 3 "new" sats. \
Anyway, you, you can manually enter sats, and transponders, provided you aren't over the limit. If you aren't over the limit, in the edit TP/SAT tab there should be a "NEW" down at the bottom, which can be a new sat name, and once you have the new sat, you can select that sat and use the edit transponder option to enter freq/SR values. It's much easier with the computer program though.
