Ok to preface I believe I have finally found my problem with signal from my big dish to the Fortec receiver. I randomly ran across a post somewhere that stated Fortec receivers were very touchy to noise level of lnbs. Given this I guess my noise level of my Ku lnb on the big dish is most likely to high. Lnb works fine with the BEC receiver and my 922.
Ok so on to my question for the really savvy guys out there. Let's pretend I want to put in a big
C Band dish and then just below it on the same pole a small Ku dish (motorized) Now utilize the ribbon cable for both dishes. So far no problem but in the house I want a DSR922 and a FTA receiver. Can I split the Ku line in normal type fashion running one leg to the 922 and the other to the FTA receiver and have signal to the 922?
Every setup I have done in the past with dual dishes has had a seperate lnb on the big dish which gives me 3 lines. C and Ku from the big dish and a Ku from a small dish. Thus the 922 was the primary receiver of signal from the big dish. Anybody actaully following me here?
TIA
