As previously posted, I have been installing a motor. Today, I was tweaking the dish settings and doing the final bolt tightning to get back to watching TV.
To make a long story short, before tweaking, I had both the circular and linear sides of my QPH working. The tweaking involved doing some rework (removing cables) from the weather box on the mast so I could set a monitor on the roof to peak the signal. Ok, got it done and then sat down to check the improvement. Tried my test channel 87 and found a significant improvement. Went to check NASA on 119 and I had NO Quality
I eventually went to the weather box and checked ALL connections and found that one of the F connectors had loosened approximately a quarter turn = NO QUALITY
LESSON LEARNED:
Check ALL your connections whenever messing with this stuff! [Fortunately, it did not burn out the LNB]
