8 LNB's to 8 receivers
Hi Everyone, I'm trying to connect 8 LNB's to 8 receivers, basically I want to do what's showen at this link,
http://sadoun.com/Sat/Installation/M...er-8-lnbfs.htm
I got the exact parts that are listed at that link, what I'm missing is the programming instructions on how I can make it all work togather...is that picture correct and complete? Anyone done it before? my receiver got Disqec control, 22khz on/off...

for the lnb's on the right side of the image turn 22k ON for all 4 and set diseqc switch to 1,2,3,or 4 depending on what lnb is connected to which port of the switch.
For lnb's on the left side, do the same but with 22k OFF

Hi pictureon, thank you for your input, i do have all the wiring and setting as you instructed, problem is the diseqc(sadoun brand) is not working, the diseqc only works when the multi-switch is bypassed(out of the loop), if i put the multi-switch back in the loop the switching stops working and stays on diseqc #1, i have a brand new multi-switch from sadoun (perfect vision brand) power is connected to it, I'm using all new RG6 wires, I'm not sure why the diseqc signaling is not passing through the multi-switch, any idea? thank you,,,once I'm over this last problem, i Will be able to move my system to the roof and enjoy it! Help!

Anyone out there run this type of setup with first hand experience? I can't be the only one...could it be that I have a bad or filtered multiswitch that wont let the diseqc switch signals pass through? or is there another way of getting 8 lnb's to work with 8 receivers?

By looking at the setup in the picture, it should work
Starting on the left LNB the setup would be
Port 1 0K
Port 2 0K
Port 3 0K
Port 4 0K
LNB’s on the right
Port 1 22K
Port 2 22K
Port 3 22K
Port 4 22K
I run a couple diseqc switches off a multiswitch with no issues.

some receivers has to be rebooted to see the switches try unplugging receiver for a few minutes and see what happens.

Hi Iceberg, thank you for your input, I already have that setup as you suggested, my problem is the diseqc switching is not working while the muilswitch is in the loop, the diseqc only works when I take the multiswitch out of the loop,
receiver -> diseqc -> lnb's --- works
receiver -> multiswitch -> diseqc -> lnb's --- does not work, stay on lnb#1 all the time...
can I assume that my brand new multiswitch is bad?

Hi rainman, thank you for your input, indeed I did reboot the receiver countless times,, no go...
maybe "perfect vision" multiswitch's are low quality?

cactus
let me try it tongiht
I have a 4x8 multiswitch (zinwell) and let me see if it will acknowledge commands through it.
Right now I have a non powered 4x4 multisiwtch with G4 C-band running into the 18v side, G10 KU into the 13v side, SBS6 into the 18v+22k side and Nimiq1 and Echo7 (via diseqc) running into the 13v+22k side and it all works
G4 & G10 have 22k set to off
SBS6 has 22k on
Nimiq1 has 22k on Diseqc 1
Echo 7 has 22k on Diseqc 2

Great!, any confirmation would be appreciated!
since I know my Diseqc are working, lnb's working...I went out and tested the multiswitch by it self...
receiver -> multiswitch > 2 lnb's.....the multiswitch passed the test......
so the only thing I can assume now is the multiswitch got some type of filtering that wont allow the Diseqc signaling to pass through...

You could reverse your setup. Run from the receiver to a 4 port DiSeqC and off each port run a 22Khz switch. So you would have receiver to DiSeqC port1 to 22Khz with on to lnb1 and off to lnb5. port 2 to another 22khz to lnbs 2 & 6 and so on.
Easily tried with your present equipment before spending more money

thats the correct way to implement a diseqc and 22kzh solution.U would use a 3x4 or 3x8 switch to expand out each dual lnb. U put the 22kzh switch bet 3x8 and the diseqc switch. Then stb to diseqc switch. The main reason for having it this way is the fact that most 22kzh switches do not pass diseqc commands, especially on the on side.
Now: the one exception to this rule is one little 22kzh switch from Ecoda EC-2111 which has been confirmed by me and a few others to work great with dpp44 and dp34 as well as other diseqc switches.Attached is the setup I normally used. This is so far the only switch in the market that does that, ie implements the diseqc protocol with backward compatibility with legacy devices.

Thanks to everyone that responded, it seems the link I posted wont work as advertised(wasted $150++ trying to duplicated it), also the other solutions posted here are limited in the number of receiver and lnb's to be used together at the same time...
I been doing research for a true multi switch that can handle 8 lnb's at once and send them to 8 receivers or more...all my solutions were found in Europe and Asia, non in the usa...what I found is they sell multiswitchs that are 17x12 (and bigger), thats 8 lnb's with local antenna to 12 receivers! I'm in contact with them to get a unit...I'm surprised that the usa market doesn't offer such devices...
you can see what i'm talking about here,

thanks for the reply.
That setup is not working for me.
All devices are working fine by themselves but when I put the diseqc switch between the LNB and the multiswitch as you have in the diagram (4 rec. and 8 lnb's switch) it does not work.
It seems like the Channel Master multiswitch stops the disecq signals from reaching the diseqc switch.
Thanks

Thanks for your confirmation. We will have to modify these diagrams, if the DiSEqC signal is not passing through.
In the mean time, if you know if a right way to connect 4 or 8 lnbfs to 8 receivers, let us know.
I have also been in contact with a manufacturer that produces high quality multiswitches that have several inputs and outputs. We will be introducing these switches soon, .
