Looking for PAS 3R

I have a 33 inch dish with a H/H motor and linear LNB.
I have found 9 satellites so far with this system in Miami FL but I can't seem
to find PAS 3R at 43.1 W. There is no entry in the menu of my Pansat 2500
satellite receiver for PAS 3R. There is no entry for any satellite at 43.1 W in the menu. I went into the new satellite section to add this satellite to the menu and then also added the TP freq of 12048. I didn't know the symbol rate. I used USALS but still couldn't find any quality for this bird.
If anyone knows anything about this satellite I would appreciate any help.
Thanks... Johnny

The satellite exists Not a whole lot on it as far as Ku and North America goes. I am not familiar with your receiver but I have found no way to add a satellite to my Fortec and have it usable by USALS so maybe you will have to go to the closest sat to it and manually move to it with DiSeqC 1.2 and set the location that way. I can post a good tp tomorrow if you would like. I am not at home at the moment and do not know any off the top of my head. If I remember correctly everything on that sat is in Spanish.

Pas3r

Thanks for the reply. My friend on my soccer team says that there are some channels from Brazil on this satellite.

I have the Platinum NA. It is a CI receiver with blind search and multilanguage OSD. I have many empty slots to use for additional sat entries but have no access to location of the sats in these slots. I downloaded Fortec's software for channel and sat management and it just made a huge mess of it all. To the point I had to do a factory reset start over manually entering everything. I tried to reorder the sats so they were in order from west to east for me and it did rename the sats but location remained the same so the first on my list is IA5. I managed to rename it to G10 (actually G0 so it matched my 922) but it still drove to IA5.

I gave up even trying with it. If the BEC just had USALS the Fortec would be collecting dust upstairs Oh yes blind search also. The only reason the Fortec gets used is features What it lacks in flexibility on setup it makes up for with other features. It also does not crash (much) or at least recovers by itself as opposed to the BEC which requires pulling the plug.

As to the original poster in this thread. While PAS3 may have many channels from Brazil they are aimed at Brazil so unless you are in Brazil you won't get them I have channels from many Spanish language countries but must say Brazil I do not. Or is Brazil Portugese? Do not remember. I do have some channels in Portugese.

What is especially lousy is the dish elevation adjustment, especially with a 120 dish because of its weight.
Reinhold.
