Help with Hispasat in Montreal

I've 100cm dish Fortec, two lnb, one standard lnb and other universal, trying to get Hispasat 1C/1D for see Cubavision Channel. trying with the receiver (Fortec) at my side and litle TV, with my birdog.. nothing.. any ideas please?

you won't get cuba vision from your location it's on a europe beam. not avaiable in north america.

there other people seeing cubavision in montreal.

I was going by the foot prints on lyngsat. showed it to be a european beam.
just recheck it is on americas beam sorry my mistake.

are you using a motor. if not go to www.sadoun.com under installation to get angle and azimuth settings. sorry again for the mistake in the other post.

You can also get Cubavision on (I think) 58 degrees or 55 or something in that area I get all the Cubavision channels listed at lyngsat. If you get a C band dish setup you can get some pretty cool channels off the sats down there in the 50's. Spanish language that is.

There is Cinema+ on (I think) PAS9 or it might be Hispasat down there at 30.

I find it !

The problem was:

1 - Skew ( is -34 in montreal)
2 - LNB type ( Universal 1 is the good one)
3 - Trees in the way! (must move the dish)

Just need read more!, fixing all this problems and using my birdog find-it in 10 min!!!

Now, other problem: when made search channels the very 1st time, find 20 channels, no cubavision. reset factory defaults and re-search, find 8 channels more but NO cubavision.. any ideas ?

Hi,

Now i've another problem. Got Hispasat 1C and of course iv'e the channels from it.. but i want the channels in Hispasat 1D (see lyngsat, it not the same channel list) in my channel's list Fortec only exist Hispasat 1C and in www.birdog.tv there is only soft for Hispasat 1C.

Any ideas ?

manualy add the transponder numbers you want to see it should come in. can you add a sat? if yes add hispat 1d then add the transponders you want.

Ok to start C and D are the same sat so if you are scanning one you are scanning the other as well. Next on the list of problems to overcome. The tp for Cubavision is the touchiest tp on the sat. Your dish is off a bit. Not much at all just a hair. Once you have the tp for Cubavision dialed in (peaked) for the sat all the other channels will be there.

I remember duelling with that sat well along with trying to maintain signal on G10 on the other end of the arc plus everything in between. Drove me crazy for a bit. Had all of 30 and G10 except Cubavision. Get Cubavision and loose half of G10. Ah the fun of it all.

A little more patience and adjustment and you should be right on it.

Like rainman say, adding cubavision's tp to my list (from lyngsat) with the rigth pol., donw freg. etc. and making searching by tp find 4 channels from Cuba.
