HI JOJO and welcome to the forum,
based on the information you have provided here is your numbers:
Zip Code: 29532 PO Name: Darlington (SC)
Population (1990): 22271
Location: 34.300294 N, 79.873221 W
On the Dish you have to make sure these 3 settings are correct:
1-Dish elevation (up and down movement of the dish) for Galaxy 10 is 29.8 (this is approximate)
2-Azimuth (this is the west east movement of the dish) will be about 245 to 248 (stand away from anything metal when getting this reading on a compas) and make sure the dish is sitting on a perfectly vertical mast, not absolutely required but as plumb as possible.
3-LNB skew (this is the dgrees you will turn the LNB counter cockwise) 45.3 degrees
Now the reciever:
This is a fortec star NA reciever make sure you are choosing the correct LNB type in the
installation-antenna setup- lnb type uni is what you should have.
also under that same screen you want tp freq to be 11720 V 27692
positioner off
diseq C and sat lock off
scan mode can be all or FTA, ( you can play with the blind scan later once you get a signal lock)
Now when moving the dish looking for signal, you want to be searching for it in the range mentioned in steps 1 -3 above as this is where you will most likely hit it. Move the dish very very very slowly and watch your signal screen, you want to go left to right in very very small increments and up and down with every increment till you see the signal light up on the screen. Its best to have a small TV out where you are working that is connected to the reciever and LNB. Also make SURE all of your connections are correct from the LNB going to the back of the reciever, to LNB IN.
Make sure your reviever is set to an active transponder on G10 when you are moving the dish in search of signal, for G10 here are the active transponders:

TP 1 starting at 11720 frequency Vertical symbol rate 27692
Keep in mind, Echostar9 at 121 over powers the G10 123 signal at times sicne they are so close so it may take a little extra work to dial in G10 at 123. Once you get a good lock on a transponder then you want to adjust the dish elevation angle to peak the signal.
