New Fortec 100 dish from here

I need help with this one people I have installed over 20 dishes over the years from BUDS to little ones no problems. This one I am changing out a 33" working dish on a stab 120 motor all working fine just wanted bigger dish. My lat and long is 30.6N and 84.5W using 30.6 motor elev. allready working on my 33" 24.1 dish Elev. This is the thing I get 0 signal I mean none the only time my signal meter moved is when I put my fingers in front of Lmb to try different focal lengths. I swapped out Lmbs no luck put old lmb back on old dish and all is well no problems tried everything I can think of to get a signal out of this dish no luck and ideas. This dish came 2 weeks ago no damage I can find just wont work. I took install photos if I need to post them to help.... coolsat fta receiver, invacom quad lmb

With that info, if all that has changed was the dish, I'd have to suspect the dish itself.
Check for warpage. Tape tight strings across the face and take measurements down from string to dish face.

Or possibly some problem with the elevation setting. Take it to the extreme upper and lower range of travel. Although I only have 80cm dish, others have reported with the bigger dishes they "had to move 10 degrees from calculated" to get a signal. Wheter they were reading the scale wrong or something caused it to be that far off I cant say.

Just a couple things you can check, if everything else stays the same.

I suspect the dish also but it looks fine no marks on it maybe this is why Sadoun says no returned dishes...

I haven't looked too closely at either of the dishes in question, but... have you considered that the offset of the dish may be different between the two models? If so, it would mean that you'd have to change the elevation on the new dish...

I changed from a 31" dish to a 120cm dish a few month ago.I had to start with my setup all over.I even had to change the motor elevation slightly to get the satellites.
Reinhold.

Never meant it was a bad dish because it was packaged great and no bings or bangs on it. I meant the no return policy because sometimes these are buggers to set up and people say the dish is bad. I don't think there is a excuse for the elev. having to be 12 degrees off that has to be a problem with the fortec dish design itself.........and I noticed later my evev mark is on the other side that is shown in the manual so mine may have been made wrong and no you can't mount it on that side unless you are supposed to read the elev scale upside down........
