I have:
a Fortec 36" dish,
a HH-120
STAB motor,
a Coolsat 6000 RCVR,
some switches (have both 4x1 and 22kHz switches available),
a
Invacom QPH-031,
and I am having problems getting aligned correctly.
The more I read, the more I don't know what to do. Please assist...here is what I have setup:
My Lat is 35.32
My Long is 77.68
I set the HH-120 EL to 35.
My pole is straight up and level all the way around.
I mounted the motor to the pole and pointed it True South; for me that is about 189 degrees mag.
I set the ANT EL to 24 as stated on the STAB instructions, this site, and the STAB site.
Right now, I have one set of outputs from the LNBF (one C and one L) connected to a 4x1 switch; the RCVR output of the switch goes to the LNB input of the motor, and the RCVR output of the motor goes to the RCVR in the house.
Nothing...no quality at all. I am trying to pickup the closest SAT to my LONG as stated in manuals. I'm looking for AMC 5 at 79W.
I did some research and found the Bearing to be at 182.30 and the Elevation to be at 49. I took an angle meter and long level. Setting the level across the front of the dish and measuring the angle on the dish, it is no where near 49. In order to get 49, I have to set the dish elevation to around 44.
I tried this too, but still nothing.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do?
Thank you all in advance.
Respectfully,
James
