Fortec 30 inch dish

A "friend" of mine got a fortec 30 inch dish and motor combo from the site and he put it together, than called me up.

I went over to his house and it is mounted on his shed.

Looking from the front of the dish, the arm of the lnb is skewed to the left of center quite a bit... say about 7 0'clock while in the south or zero position ...is this normal or should it be straight up and down in the center of the dish?

Did he put it together wrong?

Needless to say he has no signal except he said he got 121 sat and then lost it.

Thanks,
Al

I have a Fortec 31" dish and the LNB sits straight in front of the dish but down a bit (not dead center vertically) Not knowing exactly which dish you have I would start with looking over the entire support structure. It is a pretty straight forward unit. If something doesn't look quite right it most likely is not. He should have a set of instructs that came with the dish.
