no signal on true south ? HELP!!!

FortecStar Classic NA 80
LNBF Dual FSKU 2v
Stab HH90 Motor
31"FS80P dish
My city is Waxhaw
State NC
Zip 28173

I have these numbers (from zip code 28173)
Longitude 80.7
Latitude 34.9
HH90 39.4
I set the motor to 39.4 ?is that right ?
I set the Dish elevation to 34.9 Right?
I am trying to get a signal from AMC 5 which should be my true south satelite- please tell me if these settings are correct for my location in waxhaw NC 28173 ... Thanks in advance.
I more thing... I have a bird dog with software 2.5 ,should I get a signal with the with the dish pointed at (true south = AMC 5) Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you have the latitude/dish elevation values reversed. Set the motor to your latitude value, 34.9, set the dish elevation to 39.4. AMC5 at 79 is close to true south for you.
Set your receiver to a hot transponder. UEN is always on AMC5 at 11742V

AMC5 is not quite true south for you, its just a bit to the east. Set your motor on zero, line the dish/motor on the mast to true south as near as you can. Set your receiver to USALS, select AMC5 and the dish should move just slightly to the east. Now you can adjust and look for a signal. Good luck

hit amc5 but still no channels

between 40 and 50 percent still unable to pull any channels? any suggestions.

that is a universal lnbf you are using, the lof you should select in your receiver is 9750/10600.

channels available/bad quality

i can get channels but the channels come in chopy, plus when i move the antenna via the motor to 119w we get nothing at all.... no signal no nothing

I set everything by what u told me and instead of going to AMC5 I went to 119(echostar7) and tweaked the signal there (Iwas a former DirectTV customer I had those coordinates already- I used those and ...well lets just say i have alot of channels and I have searched only a few Satelites Thanks Dude ..I owe you 1 !!!!!!
