Offset LNBF mounts sold by Sadoun?

Does Sadoun sell or recommend any LNBF offset mounts so one dish can be used to receive two or more neighboring satellites? I see them from time to time on eBay and other sites and was considering them as I get very high signal qualities on both satellites but not enough to overcome the Reed-Solomon error correction threshold (I get high signal but no "Lock" and nudging the dish gets full-signal and a "Lock" on either satellite).

The motor really is the way to go. You can add a circular lnbf to the side of a linear lnbf and it works fine because the circular birds are so much more high powered than the others, the lnbf doesn't really need to be dead on center. I did this for a while but found that Usals no longer worked for locating those circular birds because of the offset position of the lnbf. Offsets work but they are always a compromise, you only get part of the signal.
I went the cheap route and zip tied the circular lnbf to the linear, it worked fine. If you were thinking of trying to get more than one linear signal on one stationary dish, I don't think that would work, signals are just too weak.

It works. I do it all the time with IA5 and AMC4. You just need a little bigger diameter dish and a whole lot of patience. And of course, a Birdog... :mozilla_wink:

Hmm, patience, bigger dish, Birdog, three things most people don't have. You use the Birdog, can you tell me, how does it know what satellite it is locked onto? I figure there must be something unique about each satellite programmed into the meter. What would that be, how does it discriminate between sats? Sorry for drifting off topic, inquiring minds need to know<grin>

The Birdog is special in that you tell it what satellite you are after; it has many satellite parameters programmed into it and yes, you are right, each satellite has a unique identifier beacon. This is what the Birdog looks for once you set it to find a given satellite.
