adding one more lnb

I aime my dish 30" Fortec at IA-5, I want to at one more Lnb to it so I can get AMC-4. How do I do. I got a add-on lnb holder. I tried to set the second at 198 w but it did not work. Thank :mozilla_frown:

You cannot use any type of LNB bracket because IA5 and AMC4 are too close; only 4 degrees. It will work but you must strap (using tape or tie-wraps) the second LNB to the main LNB. Make sure the second LNB (the one for AMC4) is mounted on the right hand side of the main LNB; that is when you are looking at the dish from the front. Connect the second LNB directly to your receiver, set it to an active transponder, for example, 12,120 MHz, 30,000 SR and VERTICAL polarity and move the LNB around until you get signal quality, then strap down the LNB. I use a dab of silicone caulking to "glue" the LNBs together. Then wire in your DiSEqC switch and you are done.

anvan3,
I tried to set the second at 198 w ???
AMC4 is 101W ; +4 degrees from 97 degrees of IA5 ... not 198W
Adjust it only 4 degrees not 198W { too far away for a LNB bracket }; if still not working then ... you need to try the bobkat 's way to achieve a dish with 2 sats viewing.

Benny ...
