bubbleback92,
These are the numbers for Toronto, latitude - 43.4 N, longitude - 79.2W.
You will be setting your dish to your true south satellite, AMC 5 at 79 degrees W. Assuming that you have stationary system and the dish mount is set perfectly straight the dish elevation need to be set to 39 degrees, azimuth 179.7 + 11 degrees for magnetic declination = 190.7 (this is the geographic azimuth).
Aim compass for about 191 degrees. Put a stick in the ground in front of the dish many feet away from your dish. Look back at your dish and line up LNB arm so it's pointing right at the stick
Set the receiver for AMC 5, TP 11742 V, SR 11.110. Now try to find a signal. You might need to move the dish assembly right or left till you see some signal. Every time you move the dish waiting a few seconds for the indicator to change. Move the dish in very small incremental (I mean very small), baby steps but you need to do it in order to get it to work. Be patient and good luck.
