Wanted: Pro FTA Installer in VA

Hi All,

I am in Christiansburg, VA 24073. I had my Fortec and HH100 motor installed and wired by a local Dish Network installer for the lack of FTA installers in town. Although we followed Sadoun's installation instructions and tips very carefully, we still weren't able to get any quality signal from any satellite on the horizon. The installer wasn't able to pinpoint the problem because he neither has the experience nor the equipment to track FTA satellites. So, I need a professoinal FTA installer to fine-tune my installation in order to get some good quality signal reception.

Following is my system specs:

1. Fortec 80cm Dish
2. Fortec FSKU-2V LNBF
3. HH100 Motor
4. Fortec 5200PVR receiver

I can rotate the dish using the receiver with no problem. I get 75% signal strength, but 0% singal quality. So I think I'm getting noise only.

The dish is mounted on a pole in my backyard. The house is located south of the mounted dish, but the installer said that he had enough clearence to have direct line-of-site to the satellites. My neighbours have less clearence and shorter poles for their Dish Network and DirecTV dishes, and they still receive good quality signals without any problem. So I don't think that the line-of-site is the problem, but I can't tell for sure.

I'm willing to compensate well for the trip, time, and parts if needed. However, I don't want to end up paying a lot of money for someone to make the trip and spend the time then tell me that he couldn't get me the signal for one reason or another, like what happened to me last time. So, I'm only willing to pay any amount agreed upon if we can at least get Telstar5. I'll pay extra if we can also get PAS9 and HispSat1C. Please message me if you can do this job and willing to agree on this condition.

I feel for you. I live in Philadelphia and I have been trying for two months to find an experienced installer. I have been screwed 3 times. Read my post "Don't Waste Your Time" in this forum. It's hard to believe that there is no one out there when we both live on the east coast in heavily populated areas. Unbelievable but apparently true. I'd do it myself but I'm afraid of heights but even so I'm reaching the point where I *might* try to overcome that fear....I'm that frustrated. Seems that around here all the installers know how to do is DirecTV or Dish network on a fixed dish. That's it. Period. Good luck, and if you find someone ask him if he'd like a trip to Philly.
