2" to 1 5/8" pipe adapter... do they make them?

Hi,

I recently switched from DISH to DIRECTV. On the roof is a DISH mount for the "Super Dish". It is a 2" pole. My Directv dish is a 20" but the pole that it can sit on is only 1 5/8".

Is there anywhere i can find a reducer? To take the pole from a 2" down to a 1 5/8" so that I can reuse the hardware on my roof?

Please advise.

Thanks!!

I'd see if I could use some U bolts and clamp a short piece of 1 5/8 pipe to the 2" pipe, and mount the new dish on that slightly above the 2" stuff.

Use 3 clamps to hold the smaller pipe to the larger pipe so it wont move in the wind.

Without seeing your existing setup its sort of difficult to offer suggestions.

I would change the whole thing. Superdish pole is too long already.

go to a muffler shop in your area have them cut a peice of 1 5/8 pipe 12"long then have them stretch it to fit over a 2" pipe leaving you about 8"that is still 1 5 /8 carry home slide over super dish pole and run some self taping screws thru it to hold in place a least 3 and that should work nicely for ya(been down that road worked for me)
