Issues with IA5 (telstar 5)

Anyone else having problems with this sat, I get a couple of the the ku tps at pretty good quality(60%) but the rest either barely work or I get nothing at all. No amount of tweaking seems to bring them in. It seems to make no difference whether the tp is horizontal or vertical and I'm pretty sure the cable and lnb are ok as they were pointed at amc5 for a while with no problem at all.

Thanks

Yes, I have noticed a few of the transponders are weaker than before. Seems to have happened during the last week or so.

As I look at the quality on each transponder it seems that it is the globecast tps with the lower quality, wonder if its something globecast is doing?

In all fairness and reality things seem back to normal the last day or so. Plus I always (mostly always) use 36" and 39" pans so weak transponder levels are a thing of the past... :mozilla_wink:

I'm running an old starchoice dish, its 30 inches wide and about 33 inches high. I get a good solid signal no matter were else I point it and there's nothing in the way. Damn Globecast anyway. Time for a bigger dish I guess.

If i d be a Subscriber to Globecast - i d surely was p*ssed to have such low strenth on my tp(s)...

I wish someone would make them aware of this problem and of how serious it is...
When i told them something about this (during a phone conversation about some information on a new channel) .. They told me - hehe - "it's fine"...

Over here .. in Winnipeg anyhow - it gets worse later on in the day.. say 4 or 5 pm or so.. some TPs almost unwatchable.. and then would get better late at night again...

Other (non-Globecast) tps are fine though.. at the Maximum or almost there through-out the whole day

Globecast smarten up .. fix it.. or finetune your chit! :mozilla_money:
