Dish Network Installation

Hey guys,

I came home from school this summer and found out that someone gave my parents a DishNetwork satellite system with a directtv satellite.

I'm a total newbie so I have no idea how to get this thing working.
Can anyone tell me what direction I point the satellite to receive picture. I've live in Toronto, Canada.

Thanks in advance guys.

EDIT: The receiver model number is 4700 and the satellite has a "splitter" (?) called diseqc 4x1.

Thanks again

Sorry but your parents cannot subscribe to Dishnetwork or Directv in Canada. Your equipment is useless here.

Bobcat is Correct; you are not allowed to use that equipment in Canada.
But if you were allowed to, get rid of the 4-way switch.
Lets say you wanted to aim at multiple sats like say 119 and 110 you would need a sw21 switch, To combine two separate dishes.
Sat 119= 230az 26 elev
Sat 110= 220az 31 elev
And of course the checkswitch summary would say 119 119 110 110
Odd even odd even

But Remember You shouldn’t even have that equipment in Canada
