TPs and EIRP

The lack of quality on some Linear Ku transponders, particularly G10R, has led me to believe that every TP has their own "footprint" and DBw EIRP?

I mean cmon, I successfully installed a motor and dish for my friend, but no matter how slowly i moved DE or E/W axis i couldn't get the Tube on G10R but got the kbpi local channel which is the strongest tp, but yet i got a measly 45-50 max on a 80cm dish in florida.

Supposedly G10R has a 50 db EIRP in FL, but G10R comes in very weak while other Ku sats come in fairly strong.. i dunno.

Re: TPs and EIRP

Then get a larger dish........It's either the dish does not track the arc perfectly or not large enough to pull in good signal.
The easiest solution is to get a larger dish. Or if you have time, try to tweak the dish.
I have no problem whatsover with G10R, in fact it comes very strong in N.California.
