Nope. Sounds like you hit Echostar 7 at 119 degrees. http://www.lyngsat.com/echo7.html

Nope. A DTV receiver will only find a DTV satellite, not Echostar or Nimiq.

Yes, but it will show "Wrong satellite...ExpressVu 91" when you hit Nimiq 1.

Then your FTA receiver is not set up properly. You must enter the parameters for Nimiq 91. Your dish is still aimed at Echostar 7 because the NASA channel is not on Nimiq 91. There are not many free unscrambled channels on Nimiq 91 anyway so I don't know why you would bother finding that satellite.

the reason for me trying to get nimiq 1 is.......i am trying to see if i can get the Nascar In-Car and pit communication feeds during the Nascar races.....i no there are Nascar channels on nimiq 1...do ya know anything about that?.......if not i will aim at another dish.......maybe put the FTA reciever on my BUD......by the way are there any channels on just C-Band....???? i don't have a Ku LNB on my BUD.

thanks

NASCAR is not free on Nimiq 91. They are scrambled and are not on the air all the time.

There are lots of channels on C-Band; if you already have a BUD then connect your FTA receiver to the C-Band LNB.
