programming a max2000 with a motorized dish

i have a max 2000 reciever , 33" dish , an SG2100 motor ,i turn reciecver on, select,ok, and i get no signal,i hit menue buton,instal, ok, dish,ok, i pick ECOSTAR 7, OK, EXIT, I GET channel bar for a moment,, then no signal message,,,i go back to instal, dish ,i pick galaxy10r, ok, channel bar, then no signal,,,BUT THE DISH NEVER MOVED,,,is this the way it is suposed to work,,if not what am i doing wrong????

The motor should move the dish whenever you select a different satellite. You need to program the satellites into the receiver first so the motor knows where to aim the dish. You may also have to set the EAST-WEST limits. You also need to find your "true south" satellite before you do anything else. I suggest you search in the MOTORS forum for more info. I have never heard of a MAX2000 receiver. :?:

how about a blackbird, enforcer,=max 2000 dvd anyhow thanks ,gives me somethig to go by...
