transponders

I am having trouble figuring out the transponders. I have Pansat2500. I click on the satellite I want to enter in. LNBF is now a Universal one since my brain kicked in and told me to look at it personaly instead of WofM. I go down to TP which I am assuming are the transponders. I then click on that saying ok. scroll down to FTA, FTA descramble click ok. Then it goes to a different screen that is split, one for radio and one for TV. It then starts scanning. My question for say the Telestar 5, do I need to individually scan them in one at a time or does it do it by itself when I hit ok after the FTA Query? Thanks in advance. :?:

Since the Pansat 2500A is a blind search receiver you can do an auto scan and the receiver will find the active transponders automatically and find each channel -- you don't need to preset anything. This type of scan takes longer but it is easier.
