Can Channel Lists Be Combined?

Is there a way to combine channel lists from more than one file source?

For instance, there are many channel lists floating around which have a lot of good work in them. However many of them do not contain satellites & channels that I want to include in a final list.

Lets say I were to scan the birds in my receiver and then upload that to gTtools 1.85. Then I download a channel list from this forums Upload center. Could I then combine or compile the two lists together in gTtools?

Your help with this subject will be much appreciated.

rckowal;...not sure, but I think it is simpler than that. You can establish a "channel tree" list and merely delete those that you do not want. The DVB boards have a "favorites "list as well.If you hold the let button down and scroll through a group of FTA channels, you can enter them in favorites. Most options of this nature on DVB boards come under "Channel" and "Settings". I Would think the FTA receivers have similar settings.

Thanks for the reply Swampthang7, it's appreciated.

What's a "Channel Tree" list? That's a new one on me.

Best regards

After doing some homework I see that ProgDVB is software for use with DVB cards - which looks like a whole different world from FTA receivers.

From what I see gTools is the FTA receiver equivelent of ProgDVB. But neither appear to be able to merge or combine channel lists from different files.

Thanks anyway, Best regards
