Active G10 Transponders

Can some tell me which G10 transponders (specific - not just look at Lyngsat) have a strong signal to help me get my dish aimed? Your help will be appreciated.

Best regards,

Best regards,
Transponders 5 and 21 are fairly strong. G10 is a tough bird (so to speak) to pull in. Haven't done one in awhile. In fact, the last one I tried I couldn't find it at all... think it was a tree issue. Lyngsat won't tell you how strong a transponder is anyway; it just gives you the frequencies, polarities and symbol rates to make sure your receiver is set up correctly.

Thanks for the reply Bobkat, it's appreciated. I'll try those TP's.

All clear sky here so obstructions are not a problem. During an earlier setup with a different dish but same location, I was able to receive G10 OK. Have moved the dish to a new & sturdier mount so it needs to be re-aimed & aligned to the arc.

A respondent on another forum told me that G10 was down, so I wanted to check his story before trying again.

Best regards

I see lots free channels on lyngsat.com, but I only got two (with frequency 12114). I couldn't get others. Anybody know why?

There are only 2 channels on that transponder.

---> http://www.lyngsat.com/g10r.html

To get other channels you must scan the other transponders.

Thank you for the response.
Actually I checked lyngsat and know the tranponder data. I scanned all transponders and only got two channels from that transponder(12114). I couldn't get any channels from any other transponders.
