european soccer

guys,

i just came from england and i have been searching around for satellite providers who show european soccer and programming. directv doesn't cut it. not enough soccer.

I am interested in buying a K-U band satellite dish pointed at T5 (Telstar 5). I have no idea what reciever to buy. i know most of you out there have a lot of experience with dishes? that's why am here. ANybody using a Ku band MPEG reciever that they really love? I am looking for one that will be easy to use, have an S-video output. I am brand new to this type of satellite transmission so if anybody has any input or would like to share their knowledge with me I would love to hear from you. Also, can the average schmo really install and set-up the equipment himself or do I need a professional install? Thanks for your help with this. will i also need a motor to switch between bands. and typically which bands show what?

thanx, Joe

Soccer on US TV: see http://www.soccertv.com/

you may want to consider:

GOLTV - spanish package on DishNetwork free on FTA - Seria A and some S.American championships
Fox World Soccer - some packages on Dish Network -Spanish & German league
Fox World Espanol - same

Some ethnic channels broadcast the respective country championship:
RAI (Italia) RTP (Poretugal) greek channels, TV5 (French)

espn2 - champions league & UEFA

As far as the premiership, FWS has one game a week

Yoo can see all that on http://www.soccertv.com/

Hope it helps

If you are interested in EPL than Fox Sports World is your best option. They show 2-3 live games every week and 2-3 delayed games.

Also there are 2 PPV games every weekend.

Dish Network and Directv offer it.

Now if you are intersted in UEFA games, CL is on ESPN2 (one game) and ESPN deportes which is only offered by some selected cable systems has pretty much all games. GolTV has UEFA Cup games.
