4dtv and dvb

I was about to buy a 4dtv receiver until I saw this forum.
I'm a bit confused, can someone clear somethings up for me before I
buy a bunch of the wrong hardware.
I have an 8 foot dish, the mount, and motorarm.
I want to access C and Ku band so, I'm looking at getting a dual
Chapparal feedhorn. I am only interrested in free feeds.

There are feed horns and C/Ku band LNBs labelled as "wideband"
which, as the name says, have a wider frequency range.
Does anyone know what additional things can be accessed with these.

I thought the 4dtv receiver could pickup DVB but, that doesn't seem to be the
case. What is the difference between the 4dtv digital stuff and DVB.
Is there a 4dtv receiver with support for DVB(FTA).

I would like the ability to pickup any free analog and digital feeds without
having to get anything activated or subscribed to.
Are there any free analog feeds left or should I just be looking at digital
receivers. I need a receiver that will move the dish motorarm.
Is there a good receiver that does analog and digital or a digital receiver
that will move the motor arm.
Any suggestions on a receiver would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Aaron

scratch that

I just realized that the PVR(mythtv) in my Linux box is compatible with
DVB pci cards. That should get me whatever digital feeds I want.
So all I need now is something to control the motor on my 8 foot dish.
Will any old receiver work or are there some that go further than others.

If the dvb PCI card supports diseqc commands you might want to consider this http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Products/ASTON/DS200.htm it will be a lot easier than using a seperate analog receiver to move the dish if all you want to receive is dvb FTA. If you also want analog FTA then the cheap route is to get an analog receiver instead to control the dish and skew. It wouldn't be as convient but it works.

To get the most free stuff grab a 4dtv and then slave a dvb box to it.
