4:2:2

what would i need to see 4:2:2 formatted signals? im assuming my pansat 2500 wont do it. is it some kind of exclusive commercial format?

You need something made by Motorola - Digicipher; probably a commercial unit at that...

Plus, there is nothing FTA because you need to get the receiver authorized by Motorola and they won't do that unless you are a commercial service provider (cable TV company, etc.)
