Trouble installing SG2100
I've installed my new motor DMS SG2100 to 76Cm wingaurde Dish, I believe i have it True South, The only bird Im getting is 97W with High Q of 80% and low Q of %56, however i can't get any other bird, not sure what am doing wrong, another problem with the motor is when i point it to 148w, instead of turing west it goes East, not sure why, but my main problem is not getting any other birds beside 97W, My settings are:
STB : CW800 Universale LNB 76cm winguard dish Latitude: 41.6223° Longitude: -88.1508° |

Well I would venture to guess you are probably at 88 and not -88 which changing in your receiver should fix the reverse rotation issue. My first question would be how are you getting 97? Are you using USALS? is the dish rotating to 97 and it is there or are you just finding channels with no actual position on the dish? If you are using USALS and are getting 97 with a reverse rotation your dish is way off to the west.
You need to start with the beginning. Motor set to proper settings per the instructions. Dish set to the proper settings per the link below. Now tell the receiver (using USALS) to go to either 87 or 89. Pick a "hot" tp from the list on lyngsat and start fishing by slowly moving the dish right to left. If nothing raise the dish elevation by a degree or two and fish again until you find the tp you are looking for. Once you have it peak the signal altering the right to left of teh dish and elevation of the dish. You should be fairly good there and should have other sats now. How to install an HH Mount DiSEqC USALS Motor? Applies to DG280, DG280B, DG380, STAB HH100, HH120, Moteck SG2100

Well i used Diseqc and not USal, i move the dish about 3 steps to get 97w, i did everthing as insturcted, i might be alittle bit off on true south, so dishpointer gave me -88 and i was pointing at 88w, also I'm using a "universal Lnb" not sure if this has to do with no getting some sats. i will go over the whole set up one more time
thanks |

i tried resetting, im still having the same issue, i just want to make sure that im doing right, so if my true south according to my location above is sat 87w, do i move the whole set towards that sat, and do you thing that my universal lnb is part of the problem, doese it work on 123w and 87w? thanks

Did you change the settings in the receiver from -88 to 88? Let's start there. Did that resolve the reverse rotation issue?

here is my setting: zip code 60446
USAL SET UP longitude angle 088.1 " i can't enter a - sign" longitude direction : West "not sure what this means" Latitude angle : 41.1 Latitude direction: North "not sure what this means" rotating speed : 0.00 STB: CW800s 97w setting Lnb Freq : Universal Lnb type : Normal: 22hz: auto Diseq number: none legacy sw: off motorized: diseq 1.2, Dish setting: its a 76 win guard dish, motor latitude: 41.1 dish elevation: 22.3 i will have to go back up on the roof to adjust and use Usal instead of diseq. Thanks in advance \ |

There is nothing on the roof to adjust to change from using DiSEqC to USALS. That is all in the receiver. This is far easier with a small tv and setting up everything on the roof. Take the tv with you along with the receiver. Connect everything into a working unit on the roof. This way you can watch the receiver while adjusting.
First things first. Run your motor back to 0. Now using USALS tell it to go to either 87 or 89. Your pic but use USALS to make the move. Make sure you are rotating in the correct direction. In other words if you choose 87 when standing in front of the dish it should move ever so slightly to the right. If 89 should be to the left. Now you hunt for signal by slowly rotating the entire unit on the mast. You need to have the receiver set to a live tp for the sat you chose. You can find that info on lyngsat. Once you find signal scan in and verify you are on the correct sat. Peak signal by slightly changing dish elevation and rotating on the mast. When you have signal peaked using USALS tell it to go to another sat and see if you have signal. Most important. Slow down. Everyone goes through what you are right now on their first one. Everyone thinks it is the lnbf when in fact it is rarely the lnbf. Did I mention slow down? Just relax and take your time. I did say slow down right? Just in case I forgot to mention it you need to move very slowly when making adjustments. Getting the picture yet? Oh, slow down.
