Drilling help

So I am trying to do my first ever install. I have 76cm dish, hammer drill(not cordless), linear lnb. So my question is I have drilled a hole through the concrete but how do I put in the lag screw? I tried using a hammer and it just falls out. Should I use rivets?

check your hardware store they make special bolts for concrete attachment.

thats going to be fun. today the guy at homedepot told me to buy masonry bit. So I tell him I have a hammer drill he says its ok. So on the back it says in bold not for use in hammer drills. But I will ask.

There are screws to use in concrete. A popular brand is called 'Tapcon' screws and they are blue. You do have to drill a hole in the concrete with a masonry bit, appropriate for the size of screw. Tapcon sells screw packages with drill bits in them sometimes. The tapcon screw has a philips head and a hex head.
The alternate approach is the older method of a spread bolt anchor. They are like the screws for drywall that have a plastic insert and then you screw into it spreading it and anchoring to the wall. I am surprised Home Depot did not help you better... You must have gotten the new helpers.
