Diseqc Switch Question?

Hi all, 4dusty here and a loyal supporter of Sadoun.
Loc: Lat=42.96 Lon=78.70 Zip code=14221.
Lnb: invacom quad polar. legacy4 o/plnb. qph031.
Dish: fortec star. 33"w. 36"h.
Motor: diseqc hh mount sg2100. 13/18v d.c. input.
Receiver(s): coolsat 6000 and 7000.

Q: which diseqc switch do i need for two receivers bedrm and livrm. plus add an OTA digital antenna that has a power supply already?

Q: Do still need the power supply for the ant or would the power for the ant. come from the receiver?

Iam thinking maybe a sadoun 5x2 multiswitch, but were does the motor come in?

Any help would be appreciated. thank 4dusty

Multi-LNBF switch and satellite receivers setup

If you haven't already check out this site.
Remember only one receiver can control the motor.

From what I understand is that one of the receivers has to be a slave of the other. The slave receiver could only watch the channels on the satellite that the main receiver has tuned in, the main receiver is the only one that could move the dish.

I don't know about the Coolsat but on the Mercury II it has an OTA antenna input on the receiver.
On the LNB you will see outputs labeled "C" and "L".
On the switch "C" will go to one ports and "L" will go to another port.
"C" is circular and "L" is linear. Your receiver will have to be setup in the menu to tell the switch which port to choose.
A coax will go from the motor to receive (RX) of the switch.
Another coax will go from motor to receiver.

What I do is, my TV has Audio and component inputs. I have OTA in the A/V input and Satellite in the component input. Then I just use the TV remote to switch between the inputs.

The switch should be mounted at the dish. I don't think an OTA can be connected to the switch.....but I could be wrong.
