mercury that doesn't move the motor
I have a Mercury II receiver, and it isn't moving my dish motor. I switched the receiver out with a new Fortec Dynamic and that moved the dish just fine. With the Mercury, I am getting good powerscans and channels, so I don't know what the prob is. Any ideas?

Receiver not turning H-H motor
First and easiest thing is, switch to DiSeQC mode, then try turning the motor east, west, using that.
If the motor turns using DiSeQC mode, then you are getting voltage through the cable. If the motor does not turn using DiSeQC, then, I would check to see if there is voltage going through your coax cable. Try that and let us know. Two different problems entirely. |

Yes, I tried Diseqc... It didn't move the motor. I then bought a Dynamic receiver, tried that, and it works great. I think it tunes into stations faster than the Mercury II did.
I used the old Mercury II to help find stations on my new 'old' C-band set up. It was good for that since I was using a V-Box and actuator to move the big dish. I will try the Mercury II again on my smallest motorized system to see if shorter wire may work... Thanks for you comments and help.
