1st time installing motor dish

i have a fortec star fc-90c dish and a sg2100 motor and i am having a problem finding true south.My Latitude: 41.5263 and Longitude: -85.7023 i am in Indiana but with the declination i am not sure what it would be.Also how do you no the elevation of the motor and the dish.Any help will be appreciated.

The elavation of the motor is the SAME as your latitude. The dish elavation is adjusted as you aim your dish. Go to Sadoun's website and get the map of your house, you can then see where true south is by looking at the landmarks. When you have the motor centered, and aimed at true south, slowly lift up your dish and watch your signal meter. Tighten your nuts at the highest signal level. Go back inside and do a scan.

An easy way to get set up is to go to the Website: Sadoun Satellite Sales (1-888-519-9595) and click on the green tab for set up support. Print the PDF file for motorized set up instructions. This will help you go through the set up guide on the website. The dish calculator will give you the angles i.e. dish elevation, motor latitude and magnetic south azimuth. The declination is already calculated in so you don't have to do anything else with the numbers. With those settings you will be within a 5 degree window of locking on.
