KUL2 + 120cm Dish - Which Way Is Up?

I've got a KUL2 LNB with a Fortec Star 120cm Dish. The problem I have is that the LNB Holder that fits on the end of the dish arm does not allow me to mount the LNB so that the cables point down.

The LNB extends past the holder so that the LNB can only be rotated from 7 o'clock to 5 o'clock - make the skew angle impossible unless I flip the LNB so the cables extend to the top.

Is it OK to rotate the LNB 180 degrees (turning it upside down) in order to get my proper skew?

Is is possible to take digital photos of the lnbf mounted on your dish and post them, 640x480 or e-mail camera settings work very well.

Are you allowing for fairly larger drip loops at the LNB to lower mount tube as in the SADOUN dish pictures.

"Is it OK to rotate the LNB 180 degrees (turning it upside down) in order to get my proper skew?"........ (probably not)

Jim-S's picture is the way I've got it.

The lower extension of the LNB wont allow the LNB to fit 180 degrees the other way.

I've had my BSC621 180 out and it worked fine.
I can think of no reason why you cannot.

Vertical antennas can be mounted on a tower pointing up or pointing down they work the same. The wire inside the LNBF is just a small receiving antenna.

On the new Fortec Star 120cm dish, it comes with a new bulky LNBF arm. It works perfect with a DSS rectangular style LNBF without using the LNBF holder that comes with the dish. For a regular bulky dual KU LNBF with a 40mm feedhorn, you may have to turn the LNBF 180 degrees in the holder as shown in the picture. Make sure you use weatherproofed connectors. Also you may want to use weather-boot around the connector.

right from Sadoun website so I say you have it right.

Thanks,

I've always weather proofed with Coax Seal - Difficult to remove; but works wonders keeping the coal from rusting. I always try to work when there is little humidity as well. I've seen my share of rusted coax connectors to last a lifetime (when dealing with UHF TV antennae).
